FORT SMITH, Ark. -- Henderson State women's golf concluded play at the Hardscrabble Invitational on Tuesday, finishing in 5th place for the tournament. The Reddies dropped two spots from Monday's first two rounds. HSU finished the tournament at +99, while champion Midwestern State finished at +59.
Lily Nelson led the way individually for the Reddies; the senior shot 19-over for the tournament after a 9-over 79 in Tuesday's third and final round and finished sixth on the individual leaderboard.
Paulina Narvaez finished in 25th place for the tournament. The senior finished with a final round 82 to finish at 28-over for the championship. Narvaez was one of only two Reddie players with a birdie on Tuesday, making two in a three-hole stretch on the back nine.
Hailey Coleman and Isabella Ferreira finished in a tie for 28th place after rounds of 83 and 86, respectively. Ferreira recorded the only other birdie by a Reddie golfer in Tuesday's third round. Lora Jones shot the second-best round by a Henderson player today after shooting a 10-over 80.
The Reddies are back in action April 6th and 7th at the Desert Invitational in Tucson, Arizona, hosted by West Texas A&M.
