NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Reddie Tennis (7-7) began their Great American Conference play of the season on the road in North Little Rock, where they played Harding in a tightly fought match. Henderson State pulled out the win against the Bisons 4-3.
Doubles
Angela Dorado Marin and
Kristina Kozlova opened the day with a strong 6-3 win in the No. 3 position, before
Adiya Abdugappar and
Jenna Kate Bohnert secured the point for the Reddies, besting the No. 2 position 7-6 (7).
Singles
In the singles matches, Henderson State went even with the Bisons, winning three matches to complete the victory.
Emilia Nowak continues to have a strong year, as she cleanly swept the No. 2 spot Natalia Alvarez 6-0, 6-0 to put the first point on the board for Henderson State. Marin secured a strong 6-1, 6-2 win in the No. 4 spot, defeating Brooke Coffman to put the Reddies ahead 2-1 in singles play.
Jordan Parker clinched the match win for the Reddies in the No. 5 position, besting Sofia Sarmiento Ruiz 6-2, 6-3 to finish the day and Henderson State won 4-3.
