ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Reddie Tennis (8-7) continued their conference play with a home match against the Golden Suns of Arkansas Tech, the Reddies secured the doubles point, then held on in singles matches to win 4-3.
Doubles
Angela Dorado Marin and
Kristina Kozlova opened the day with a strong 6-1 win over the No. 3 pairing, before
Jenna Kate Bohnert and
Adiya Abdugappar secured the doubles point for the Reddies with a 6-2 win over the No. 2 pairing.
Singles
In the singles matches, Henderson State split with Arkansas Tech, winning three matches to complete the victory.
Emilia Nowak continues to have a strong year, as she cleanly defeated the No. 2 spot Monica Balau 6-4, 6-2 to put the first point on the board for Henderson State. Marin secured the second point for Henderson State with a 7-5, 6-2 win in the No. 4 spot, defeating Rebecca Arnold to put the Reddies ahead 2-1 in singles play.
Jordan Parker continues to be clutch for the Reddies, climbing back from being down 5-4 in the second set to secure the win in the No. 5 spot 4-6, 7-6 (4), 6-1 to secure the 4-3 win for Henderson State.
