Biography

2019: Missed the season due to injury suffered in fall camp.

2018: Was on the field in all 11 games for Henderson and earned the start against Ouachita in the Battle of the Ravine . . . Made 14 tackles, 10 solo stops, and had an interception and pass break-up on the year . . . Earned GAC Special Teams Player of the Week following the win over Arkansas Tech (Sept. 8) where he had a season-high five tackles and blocked a field goal before halftime . . . Had his lone interception of the season against UAM (Nov. 3).

2017: Saw action in five games ... Had five solo tackles on the year, three of which came against East Central.

2016: Redshirted.

PREP: A three-year letterman at John Tyler High School in Texas . . . Recorded 97 tackles during his senior season and helped lead his team to a district championship . . . Was voted Second-Team All-State and first-team all-district . . . Also lettered in track & field.

PERSONAL: Born December 1, 1997 . . . Son of Laggett and Brenda Gipson . . . Favorite professional team is the Carolina Panthers . . . Favorite athlete is Cam Newton . . . Majoring in Business Management.
