2018: Sat out due to NCAA transfer rules.

PREP: Lettered three seasons at Benton High School where he set every passing record in school history . . . Was a Landers Award finalist after his Junior season when he passed for 3200 yards and 35 touchdowns . . . Helped the Panthers to a conference championship and state championship appearance in 2015 . . . Lettered three years in basketball and was named All-State following his sophomore season.

PERSONAL: Born July 23, 1997 . . . Son of Bryan and Tammy Maertens . . . Hobbies include fishing, spending time at the lake and traveling . . .  Majoring in Physical Education – Health.
