2017: Played in six games as a true freshman despite battling knee injury for half the year ... Carried the ball 42 times for 188 yards and two touchdowns ... Also caught eight passes for 89 yards ... Had one of his best games of the year in the finale against Ouachita Baptist, where he caught five passes for 61 yards, and had 21 yards rushing on seven carries and two scores.

PREP: A two-time all-district selection at LaPorte (Texas) High School . . . Carried the ball 137 times for 883 yards and 11 touchdowns his senior season . . . Also lettered two years in track.

PERSONAL: Born Oct. 3, 1998 . . . The son of Cobra and Gasher Jones . . . Majoring in management information systems.
