Biography

2021: Did not compete due to injury.

2019: Played in all 12 games in his first season on campus at both receiver and on special teams … Led the GAC and finished No. 6 in all of NCAA DII in punt return average (16.3 yards per return) … Racked up 245 yards on 15 returns … Had a long return of 78 yards against East Central (Oct. 19) which he took for a touchdown — the first punt return for a score at HSU since 2013 … Sure-handed returner who did not muff a single kick all season … Caught five passes for 43 yards at receiver … Had a season-best three catches against SNU (Sept. 14) … Made six tackles on special teams.

COLLEGE: Spent two seasons at East Mississippi Community College.

PREP: Two-year letter winner at Madison Central High School. . . Earned All-State honors following both his junior and senior seasons. . . Helped the Jaguars to a State Championship in Baseball as a senior.

PERSONAL: Born July 27, 1998 . . . Son of Rick and Christa Boyd. . . Has five siblings, Kamden, Kyle, Jaylee, Camden, and Skylar. . . Majoring in Business Management.
