Lira won his first collegiate tournament as he was the individual medalist at the Dave Falconer Golf Classic in Danville, Ark.
Lira had rounds of 72 and 69 to finish 3-under par for the tournament.
The sophomore from Mexico City, Mexico totaled a tournament best 11 birdies and was 6-under par in par  4 scoring.
