HSU vs. DELTA STATE RESULTS
Henderson State won eight of 11 events as the Red Wave swim team beat Rhodes College 153-55, Saturday in Arkadelphia, Ark.
The Red Wave had seven different swimmers win individual events beginning with Bence Greifenstein who claimed the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:24.73.
Guy Buls followed with a victory in the 200 freestyle (1:49.31), while
Scotty Serio turned in a time of 22.97 to win the 50 freestyle.
Michael Saltiformaggio kept the Red Wave streak going with a win in the 200 individual medley (2:09.66), with
Adam Milecz swimming to victory in the 100 butterfly (55.38).
Robert Fisher and
Nicholas James both picked up individual wins, with Fisher touching the wall first in the 100 backstroke (55.73), and James in the 500 freestyle (4:52.18).
The Red Wave quartet of Serio, Fisher, Milecz, and
Austin Bennett won the 200 medley relay finishing with a time of 1:38.52.
On Friday, the Red Wave fell to Delta State losing to the Statesmen 154-88.
Fisher won the 200 freestyle event with a time of 1:44.48, while James beat his opponents in the 100 yard backstroke finishing with a time of 50.73.
Greifenstein turned in a time of 58.21 to win the 100 yard backstroke.
Henderson State will finish its regular-season schedule on January 25 when the Red Wave travels to Ouachita Baptist to face the Tiger Sharks with the first event slated for 6:30 p.m.
