Ouachita Baptist used a five-run sixth-inning to power past Henderson State 10-0, Tuesday at Clyde Berry Field in Arkadelphia, Ark.

The Reddies, 13-8 on the season, have struggled in midweek games with Henderson having lost all three weekday games thus far.

The Tigers, 11-11-1 on the season, scored three runs in the third-inning with the help of run-scoring singles by Landon Moore and Chris Tavares.

The big inning came in the sixth with Tavares having the big blow, a grand slam home to left field to put the Tigers on top 9-0.

The Reddies managed just five hits with Taylor Coleman leading the way with a double.

Tryce Schachlin went the distance for OBU, striking out a pair of Reddie hitters en route to his first win of the season.

Henderson State used six pitchers with Ethan Jones getting the start and suffering the loss falling to 0-4 on the year.

Henderson State, 8-4 in the Great American Conference, will return to league play on Friday when the Reddies play host to Southwestern Oklahoma with the first pitch set for 2 p.m. The two teams will play a double-header on Saturday at Noon.
