Box Score 1 | Box Score 2
Henderson State rallied to score six runs in the ninth-inning to beat Arkansas Tech 8-4, but lost the finale of the series 6-1.

The Reddies, 22-21 overall and 16-11 in the Great American Conference, is tied for third-place in the league standings with one conference series remaining.

In game one, Arkansas Tech broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the eighth-inning on a Cesar Abreu double up the middle to score two runs.

With two-outs in the top of the ninth-inning, Andrew Reynolds got the Reddie rally started with a single up the middle. Jeff Beck entered the game to pinch run for Reynolds and advanced to second on a wild pitch.

After Zac Zdanowicz walked, Taylor Coleman reached on a fielder's choice with both Beck and Zdanowicz moving up a base to load the bases.

Carlos Rodriguez tied the game with a two-run single to left field, driving home both Beck and Zdanowicz and chase ATU pitcher Boone Weiss.

Matt Evans then delivered the eventual game-winning hit when he blasted an Ethan Crocker pitch to right field for a double to score Coleman and move Rodriguez to third.

The Reddies continued the rally as Michael Corso doubled to left field to plate both Rodriguez and Evans to make the score 7-4.

Will Powell added an insurance run as he provided the third double of the inning to score to Corso.

Jordan Wright, who was added to the 2013 Tino Martinez Award Watch List earlier this week, retired three straight batters in the bottom half of the inning to get the win.

Wright pitched the final 2 2/3 innings, giving up two unearned runs, and struck out four batters to improve to 3-1 on the season to go along with his 10 saves.

In the finale, ATU pitcher Jake Bell limited Henderson State to just one hit to help the Wonder Boys win the series. Powell had the lone hit for the Reddies.
Henderson State will next play a midweek double-header with No. 1 Delta State on Wednesday in Cleveland, Miss.
