East Central Oklahoma scored 10 runs in the seventh-inning to run-rule Henderson State 12-1, Friday in Great American Conference baseball action in Ada, Okla.

Henderson State, 2-9 overall and 2-2 in the GAC, managed just two hits off of ECU starter Lucas Kaplan.

The right-hander struck out eight Reddie batters and went the distance to improve to 2-2 on the season.

Colton Lorance pitched 6 2/3 innings for the Reddies before running into trouble in the seventh as the Tigers put together three hits and scored a pair of runs to end Lorance's day.

Rob Thomas entered the game and gave up a two-run home run to Luc Pomales then allowed a walk and two more hits before exiting the game.

Josh Henderson replaced Thomas, but the Tiger offense was too much as Josh Lavander ended the game with a grand slam to right center field.

Henderson's lone run came in the sixth inning on a Matt Evans single to centerfield that scored Hunter Mayall who walked and stole second.

Lee Richardson had Henderson's other hit, breaking up Kaplan's bid for a no-hitter in the fifth-inning.

The two teams will play a double-header Saturday at noon to finish the series.
