Henderson State will play host to Harding in a non-conference double-header Tuesday, with the first pitch set for Noon at Clyde Berry Field.
Harding, 8-4 on the season, is coming off a three-game series with Southern Nazarene in which the Bisons won two games and totaled 37 runs.
The Bisons have a team batting average of .274 and are led by Matt Calhoun who is hitting .359 with a team-best three home runs and 12 RBI.
James Anderson follows with a .357 average including 10 runs scored and 8 RBI.
The Harding pitching staff has a 3.91 earned run average, with the staff combining for 77 strikeouts in 92 innings of work.
Henderson State enters Tuesday's games having lost three of its last four games, with the Reddies having a 3-10 record on the season.
The Reddies are hitting just .231 collectively with
Lance Fields having a .400 average to lead the team.
Dylan Howell and
Chris Hunt are scheduled to start on the mound for the Reddies.
Howell had a solid outing in his first collegiate start last week against Arkansas Tech pitching five innings while giving up three earned runs. On the season, Howell has a 4.00 ERA in 9 innings of work with opponents hitting just .206 off the freshman.
Hunt will be making his first start as a Reddies after making three relief appearances.
