Henderson State dropped a home-opener double-header as Arkansas-Fort Smith beat the Reddies 4-3 and 7-3, Sunday at Clyde Berry Field in Arkadelphia, Ark.
In the opener, UAFS scored three runs in the second-inning benefitting from a pair of walks and a double by Brennan Rogers.
The Reddies, 0-6 on the season, managed just four hits in the game and left eight runners on base.
In the nightcap, Henderson State took a 2-0 lead in the first-inning with the help of a RBI double by
Matt Evans, but UAFS scored a pair of runs in the sixth and seventh-innings to rally for the win.
Andy Kovarik was 3-for-3 in the game to lead the Reddie offense.

Matt Evans and
Conner Brackhahn all had two hits on the day for the Reddies.
Henderson State totaled 11 hits in the twin bill, while UAFS totaled 19 safeties.
Henderson State will next play host to a Southeastern Oklahoma in a three-game Great American Conference series beginning Friday at 2 p.m.
