SWOSU Takes Series Finale From Reddies

Henderson State clubbed 12 hits but it wasn't enough as Southwestern Oklahoma beat the Reddies 15-7, Saturday in Weatherford, Okla.

The Bulldogs used two big innings to beat the Reddies scoring six runs in the third-inning and five more in the sixth frame.

Several Reddies had multiple-hit performances with Joseph Gary leading the way with three hits including a double and a run batted in.

Hunter Mayall and Hayden Lessenbery both went 2-for-3 for the game. Mayall had a double and scored three runs, while Lessenbery added a double and a RBI.

Despite the big innings by SWOSU, the Reddies continued to battle getting a two-run single by AJ Kruel in the sixth-inning and a put together three hits in the seventh-inning including Lessenbery's RBI double.

Every time the Reddies scored in their half of the inning, the Bulldogs would answer.
Jon Luthe started the game on the mound for the Reddies striking out five batters in three innings of work but was tabbed with the loss.

Henderson State, 7-19 on the season, returns home to play a non-conference double-header on Tuesday against Central Christian College beginning at Noon at Clyde Berry Field.
