Reddies Play Host To Central Christian College Tuesday

Henderson State will break away from Great American Conference action as the Reddies play host to Central Christian College in a double-header Tuesday at Clyde Berry Field with the first pitch set for Noon.

Central Christian is a member of NAIA and has a 14-12 record on the season.

The Tigers boast a .287 team batting average led by Drew Schiesser who is hitting .388 on the season. The senior from Houston, Texas lead the team in runs batted in with 20 and has hit six doubles.

Tyler Gniadek is hitting .380 and has driven in 15 runs on the year.

Reddie pitcher Chris Hunt will make his third start of the season in the first game on Tuesday. The freshman from Greenwood, Ark. has pitched 13 innings and has struck out six batters.

Henderson's starter for game two will be decided on game day.

The Reddie offense continues to improve each week with the team average increasing by 25 points in the last 10 game.

Playing with predominantly under classmen in the starting lineup, Henderson State has a .280 team average over the last 10 games.

Hunter Mayall has improved his average to .325 including going 9-for-16 last week in five games.

Hayden Lessenbery was 3-for-5 last week, while AJ Kruzel hit for a .500 average going 3-for-6.

Luke McGuire has gone 4-for-10 with a pair of runs batted in and a double in three games played, with Joseph Gary hitting .333 in the last 10 games going 8-for-24 with a home run and 7 RBI.
