Box Score 2 Arkansas-Monticello belted four home runs to take a double-header from Henderson State, 5-3 and 6-5, Sunday in Fayetteville, Ark.
Due to poor field conditions, the teams were forced to find another location to play to avoid from cancelling the series. Fayetteville High School was the closest available field that was payable due to having turf.
In the first game, UAM rallied for three runs in the sixth-inning and got solo home runs from Corey Wood and Kevin Fitzpatrick in the eighth and ninth innings to beat the Reddies 5-3.

Henderson struck first scoring a run in the fourth-inning when
Conner Brackhahn lined a double to left field to score
Lance Fields who reached on a fielder's choice.
The Reddies, 12-6 overall and 6-5 in the Great American Conference added a run in the fifth frame as
Tadarious Hawkins led off with a double down the right field line and scored on an
AJ Kruzel sacrifice fly.

UAM (9-7 and 5-4) then put together four hits and scored three runs in the top of the seventh with the help of back-to-back doubles by Brian Ray and Wood.

In the Reddie seventh,
Hunter Mayall would reach on a UAM error and would later score on a ground out by Hawkins to tie the game.
Wood would homer for UAM in the eighth, and Fitzpatrick in the ninth to give the Weevils the win.
Zach McKnight would get the win for UAM to improve to 3-1, while Jeff Harvill was credited with his third save of the year.

Jordan Taylor suffered the loss for Henderson State.

Both teams had eight hits with Brackhahn leading the Reddie with two.
In game two, Fitzpatrick broke a scoreless tie in the fourth-inning with a two-run home run to give UAM a 2-0 lead.
UAM added four more runs in the sixth-inning including getting a three-run homer from Travis Steinke.
Henderson would make things interesting in the seventh as
Hayden Lessenberry led off the inning with a double followed by a single by Kruzel.
Claude Johnson would then reach on an infield single with the UAM shortstop committing a throwing error to allow pinch runner
Luke McGuire and Kruzel to score.
Henderson went on to load the bases as Taylor walked and
Lance Fields singled to left.
Mayall would then walk and Brackhahn would be hit by a Jeff Harvill pitch to make the score 6-4 and chase the UAM hurler.
Dawson Moser entered the game and hit
Andrew Reynolds with a pitch to make it a one run game. Moser would settle down and strike out the next two batters to end the Reddie rally. Â
Henderson State will next travel to Jackson, Tenn. to take on Union University in a double-header on Tuesday beginning at Noon.
