After month long break, the Henderson State Red Wave Swim Teams returned to action on Friday with both teams falling to Delta State.
The Red Wave men came up short losing 212-88, while the women lost 217-77. The Red Wave women also swam against West Florida with the Argonauts winning 233-67.
Max Pohl recorded the lone individual win for the men recording a time of 51.26 in the100 butterfly. Pohl also placed third in the 200 butterfly with a mark of 1:57.47.
Guy Buls recorded three top three finishes placing second in the 200 backstroke (1:56.24), second in 200 individual medley (1:56.48) and third in the 100 backstroke (53.38).
Colton Laramore placed second in the 200 freestyle (1:43.70), with Bogdan Pochynok coming in third in 200 the backstroke with a time of 2:00.12.
Joshua Lawson finished in third both the 100 breaststroke (59.94) and the 200 breaststroke (2:15.26), while
Hunter Arnold was second in the 50 freestyle (21.96) and third in the 100 freestyle (48.22).
Caleb Murders also had a top finish in the 50 freestyle (22.03).
Both Red Wave relay teams placed second with the 400 medley relay quarter of Pochynok, Lawson, Pohl and Laramore finishing with a time of 3:29.13, while the 400 freestyle relay foursome of Pohl, Arnold, Murders and Laramore having a time of 3:09.36.
Diver Tonya Kurach led the Red Wave women placing second in the 1-meter event with a score of 292.0, and returning later to place second in 3 meter board with 295.05 points.
Other top finishers include
Lindsey Butler placing third in the 100 backstroke (1:00.67) and
Sarah Helton second in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.82).
