COMPLETE RESULTSHenderson State's men's and women's swim teams cruised to victory Saturday over Rhodes College.
The Red Wave women recorded a 153-106 win, while the men won 178-71.
For the Red Wave women,
Sarah Medellin and
Lindsey Butler recorded a pair of individual wins.
Medellin took first in the 200 freestyle (2:01.44) and the 100 freestyle (55.38), while Butler won the 50 freestyle (24.91) and the100 butterfly (1:00.95).
Sarah Helton took first in 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:10.07 and placed second in the100 individual medley (1:04.45).
Also recording wins were
Grace Conlon in the 1650 freestyle (18:51.88) and
Zoe Peak in the 100 backstroke (1:02.84).
Maddie Samples had a pair of second-place finishes in the 50 freestyle (25.22) and the100 freestyle (56.83), while
Camille Leary placed second in the 100 breaststroke (1:10.44).
In the diving events, Tonya Kurach won both the1-meter dive (309.52) and 3-meter dive (194.75) with Maddy Arnold placing second in both boards with 249.50 points in the 1-meter and 181.65 in the 3-meter.
Henderson's 200 medley relay team of Eleonora Unanova, Helton, Leary, and Medellin won the event with a time of 1:54.41.
Max Pohl led the Red Wave men with wins in the 100 individual medley (53.46) and the100 backstroke (53.02).
Joshua Lawson claimed first in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.28 and returned to take second in the 500 freestyle clocking in at 5:12.94.
Bogdan Pochynok was second in the 50 freestyle (22.49), but was able to take first in 100 butterfly (54.24).
Also winning individual event were
Colton Laramore in the1650 freestyle (17:25.05), Benjamen East in the 500 freestyle (4:59.47) and
Guy Buls in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.34).
Kameron Brown took first in both the 1 meter dive (264.50) and 3 meter dive (194.40), with
Adam Zmijewski placing second in both events.
The Red Wave 200 medley relay team of
Max Pohl,
Matthew Gribble, Joshua Lawson, and
Hunter Arnold turned in a time of 1:39.09 to win the even, while the foursome of Pochynok,
Corbin Greening, Laramore and
Caleb Murders won the 200 freestyle relay (1:27.83).
