Henderson State will attempt to continue its winning ways as the Reddies ride a seven-game win streak into a matchup against Union on Tuesday at Clyde Berry Field with the first pitch slated for 3 p.m.
The Reddies are coming off a three-game sweep of Southern Nazarene improving to 23-19 overall and 17-10 in Great American Conference play.
In the last 10 games, the Reddies have a .322 batting average collectively and are averaging 6.9 runs per game.
Hunter Mayall,
Jordan Taylor and
Hayden Lessenberry have had a big impact in Henderson's recent win streak.
Mayall is hitting .519 (14-for-27) during the last seven games having scored 10 runs and posting a .606 on base percentage.
Taylor and Lessenberry have provided the power numbers for the Reddies. Taylor is hitting .481 (13-for-27) with three home runs and eight RBI, while Lessenberry is 12-for-26 (.462) with three round-trippers and 10 RBI.
Kris Priddy will start on Tuesday on the mound with the native of Terrell, Texas having a 3-0 record with a 2.89 ERA.
Union is 18-21 on the season took two of three games from North Alabama last weekend.
The Bulldogs are hitting .264 offensively with Zach Wylie leading the team with a .348 average which includes four home runs and 29 RBI.
Dylan Moore follows hitting .321, with Tyler Mauzy sporting a .314 average.
The Union pitching staff has a 5.58 ERA with opponents hitting .296.
