FULL RESULTS
The Henderson State men's and women's swim teams returned to action after a month-long break as the teams traveled to Cleveland. Miss. this past weekend.
The men fell to the Statesmen 189-71, while the women lost 208-54.
Leading the way for the Red Wave men was
Hunter Arnold who placed second in 100 backstroke with a time of 54.04, second in 100 freestyle (47.31), and third in 50 freestyle (22.07).
Dima Bokankhel swam the 200 freestyle event and was second with a time of 1:43.47. Bokankhel place third in 500 freestyle with a time of 4:46.65 late in the day.
Dani Bronshtein turned in a second-place finish in the 200 butterfly (1:56.92) and was third in 100 butterfly (52.40), while
Garrett Sullivan placed third in the 100 yard backstroke (54.23) and second in the 200 backstroke (1:58.74).
Other top performers included Drew Lauth finishing third in the 1000 freestyle (9:52.28),
Caleb Murders coming in second in the 50 freestyle (21.55), and
Kent Eldreth finishing second in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.03).
For the Red Wave women,
Lindsey Butler was the top scorer placing second in 100 the backstroke with a time of 1:00.56, second in the 50 freestyle (25.04), and third in the 100 butterfly (1:00.02).
Sarah Helton was third in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.61) and also had a second-place finish in the 200 backstroke (2:29.76).
Eleonora Unanova had a pair of third-place finishes in the 200 backstroke (2:13.60) and the 500 freestyle (5:23.88), while
Mailin Gupta was third in the 200 backstroke (2:33.53).
The Red wave will next host Rhodes College on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Duke Wells Center.
