With threatening thunderstorms forecast for Saturday, Henderson State's three-game Great American Conference series against Arkansas Tech has been changed to Sunday and Monday at Clyde Berry Field.
The Reddies and Wonder Boys will play a double-header on Sunday with the first pitch set for 2 p.m. with the finale set for Monday at 1 p.m.
Henderson State, 12-6 overall and 7-2 in the GAC, has won five straight games including a three-game sweep of Harding last weekend in Searcy.
Jordan Harris leads the Reddies offensively with a .350 average which includes six doubles, two home runs and 10 runs batted in. In the last five games, the senior from Tulsa, Okla. has gone 10-for-22 at the plate for a .455 average. In those five games, Harris has four doubles and a home run posting a .773 slugging percentage.
Brandon Pollock follows Harris with a .284 average including going 8-for-21 in the last five games. The junior from Gilbert, Ariz. leads the team in runs batted in with 13 and is hitting .353 when leading off an inning.
Brentten Schwaab has also been hot at the plate in recent games going 5-for-13 with a pair of home runs during the Reddie winning streak. The senior from Beaumont, Texas is hitting .277 for the year and has a .447 slugging percentage.
The Henderson pitching staff recorded a pair of shutouts last weekend against Harding with Bryant Harrison recording his second-complete game shutout of the year, while
Daniel Sprinkle was part of a combined shutout working six innings.
Haralson is 3-1 on the year with a 2.77 earned run average. The senior from Atkins, Ark. has worked 39 innings and has 38 strikeouts to his credit.
Sprinkle is 2-1 with a 1.31 ERA which includes 16 punch outs in 20.2 innings. The junior from Pine Bluff, Ark. is scheduled to pitch the second game of the series.
Zach Eschberger is scheduled to pitch Monday's finale. The junior from Bullard, Texas is 2-0 on the season with a 3.45 ERA.
Arkansas Tech enters with a 10-8 record overall and 5-4 in GAC play following winning two of three games from Ouachita Baptist last weekend.
Tech has a .288 team batting average led by Riley Hickerson who is hitting .379 with a team-best 19 RBI. Seth Wheeler follows at .375, while Connor Brady is hitting for a .345 average.
Hayes Cox leads the Wonder Boy pitching staff with a 3-2 record and a 1.74 ERA. Cox has struck out 24 batters in 31 innings and has conference wins against Southwestern Oklahoma and OBU.
Michael Mueller is also scheduled to start on the mound during the series. Mueller is 1-2 on the year with a 4.15 ERA but leads the team in strikeouts with 38 in 30.1 innings.
