Henderson State will embark on its final road trip of the regular-season as the Reddies travel to Weatherford, Okla. for a three-game Great American Conference series against Southwestern Oklahoma beginning Friday at 3 p.m.

The Reddies enter the weekend tied for second in the conference with a 24-13 record overall and a 17-7 mark in league play. Meanwhile, SWOSU sits fifth in the league with a 20-15 overall record and 14-8 in the GAC.

The Reddies have won 11 of their last 15 games including taking two of three games from Southern Arkansas last weekend and a 15-7 victory over Christian Brothers on Wednesday.

Henderson has made positive strides offensively as the Reddies are hitting .324 in the last five games improving the team overall average to .269.

Caleb Carr continues to lead the Reddie offense with a .375 average which includes hitting .432 (16-for-37) in the last 10 games. The freshman from White Hall, Ark. also sports a team-best .477 on-base percentage.

Daniel Colasanto follows with a .333 average and leads the team in games against conference opponents with a .366 average.

Joe Myers also picked up his game offensively as the sophomore from Little Rock has gone 10-for-23 at the plate in the last five games including three doubles, a triple and six runs batted in.
Zack Gray is hitting .271 on the year and has a .489 slugging percentage. The senior from Hamilton, Ohio leads the team in home runs with seven and runs batted in with 32. In the last 10 games, the Reddie first baseman has hit three doubles, a triple, and three home runs while driving in 12 runs.

The Reddies bolster the third best earned run average around the league on the mound with a 4.74 team ERA.
Bryant Haralson will start the series opener on Friday. The senior from Atkins, Ark. has a 6-2 record with a 3.48 earned run average. Haralson leads the team with 67 strikeouts and has won his last three starts including a complete-game victory over Southern Arkansas last weekend.

Daniel Sprinkle and
Zach Eschberger are set to pitch Saturday's double-header.
Sprinkle is 3-2 on the year with a 3.46 ERA. The junior from Pine Bluff went seven innings last weekend against Southern Arkansas while striking out a career best eight batters in a no decision. The right-hander has totaled 35 punch-outs in 54.2 innings of work.

Eschberger is 5-3 on the year and sports a 4.15 ERA. The junior from Bullard, Texas is looking to get back on track after picking up losses in his last two outings.

SWOSU has one of the better offenses in the league with the Bulldogs posting a .298 team average with the team having a .451 slugging percentage and averaging 7.3 runs per contest.

The offense is led by Alex Pimentel who is one of the top hitters in the GAC with a .400 average. Pimentel has driven in a team-high 38 runs and also leads the club with a .579 slugging percentage.

Bryan Miranda is close behind with a .390 average including a GAC-best 57 hits on the year. Miranda has great speed having a league best six triples and 19 stolen bases.

The Bulldogs rank fifth in the GAC in team ERA at 5.20 with the club recording 250 strike outs this season, an average of 7.2 per game.
Cooper Cantwell is set to start Friday's game on the bump for SWOSU. The right-hander from Bowie, Texas was named GAC Pitcher of the Week earlier this week after his complete game shutout over Oklahoma Baptist. Cantwell, who is 5-3 on the year with a 4.18 ERA, has back-to-back complete game shutouts and currently has a 17-inning scoreless inning streak.
Brendan Peitsmeyer and Tyler Tuck are scheduled to start Saturday's double-header. Peitsmeyer has a 2-1 record and a 4.41 ERA. The right-hander from Aurora, Colo. moved into the role as starter three weeks ago.

Tuck sports a 2-2 record with a 5.46 ERA. The left-hander from Pottsboro, Texas has 32 punch-outs in 28 innings.

Henderson went 5-0 against Southwestern Oklahoma last year, sweeping the three-game GAC series and then ousted the Bulldogs from the GAC Tournament winning a pair of games.
