ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Solid pitching and timely hitting has helped Henderson State rattle off four straight wins, including a three game sweep of Southern Nazarene last weekend.

The Reddies will look to extend the winning streak when they make their longest conference road trip of the season for a weekend matchup with the Northwestern Oklahoma State Rangers in Alva, Oklahoma. Henderson is scheduled to battle NWOSU at 6 p.m. on Friday, before a doubleheader at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday.

REDDIES REPORT
- The story of last weekend's sweep of SNU was Henderson's pitching, as in all three games, HSU hurlers held the Crimson Storm to just three runs. The Reddies got starts from Austin Cross, Zach Eschberger, and Drake Salsman, who combined for 18 innings while giving up just four earned runs.

- Three solid outings from each starter allowed HSU to keep the bullpen fresh, as the Reddies used just two pitchers in each contest. Kris Priddy was untouchable in the series opener, striking out six without allowing a baserunner on the way to a rare 12-out save — his first of the season. Brayden Bebee picked up a save in the series finale, allowing one earned run on two hits in three innings.

- Priddy has given up just one earned run in his last 15.2 innings pitched, and is fourth in the GAC with a 2.01 ERA. Salsman has been excellent as well, racking up a 1.29 ERA over his last two starts. The Missouri native has gone seven innings in both outings with a 5/1 strikeout to walk ratio.

- Bryson Haskins continues to lead the Reddies at the dish and is one of four players above the .300 threshold. Haskins has the team lead with a .338 average and is on a 14-game hitting streak which included his first career home run versus the University of the Ozarks on Tuesday evening.

- Since entering the lineup on a regular basis, Daniel Colasanto has given HSU a lift from the hot corner. Colasanto raised his career average over .300 with three hits on Tuesday and is top three on the team with a .333 average and a .440 on-base percentage.

- Brandon Pollock and Joseph Shepherd have also been important cogs in the HSU order. Pollock has reached base safely in 15 straight games and is 7-for-17 (.412) with six runs over his last five. In the same timeframe, Shepherd is batting .368 with three stolen bases.

- Following a brief slump, Danny Mitchell Jr. found his form against Southern Nazarene and carried his hot bat into the Reddies' mid-week victory. In his last four, he is 7-for-15 (.467) with two home runs, five runs scored, and four RBIs. Mitchell now leads the Reddies in home runs (3) and RBIs (17).

SCOUTING NORTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA
- After a scorching 10-1 start to the season, the Rangers have cooled in recent weeks and have lost 8 of their last 9 contests.

- Northwestern Oklahoma State (11-9, 3-8) has swung the bats extremely well in GAC play and are second in the league in team batting average at .308. The Rangers have also used the long ball, going deep 20 times in 11 league games. Unfortunately for NWOSU, the pitching staff has struggled to hold up their end of the bargain, and is tenth in the conference with a 7.98 ERA.

- Eight of NWOSU's nine everyday players are batting over .300 and each man in the order has flashed home run power. Luis Mendoza leads the Rangers with a .397 average and has driven in 17 runs. The majority of the Rangers' power comes from outfielders Johnnuelle Ponce and Justin Bundy who have combined for 12 home runs and 43 RBIs.

- The Rangers are still piecing together the pitching rotation, as six different hurlers have started this season. Dillon Van Oosbree and Matt Goertzen have been the most popular choices and both have started five games. Van Oosbree will bring a 6.67 ERA into the weekend, while Goertzen sports a 7.65 ERA.

- Out of the bullpen, NWOSU has gotten contributions from Beau Britton and Koby Spicer, both of whom have a sub-3.00 ERA in 18.1 innings combined.
