2020-21 GAC ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — Henderson State had 74 student-athletes honored for their efforts in the classroom on Monday afternoon when they each received 2020-21 Academic All-Great American Conference recognition.

To be recognized on the Academic All-Conference team, student-athletes must have enrolled as freshmen prior to the fall of 2020. In addition, their grade-point average must be a minimum of 3.30 based on the 4.0 system. The GPA shall be cumulative for the athlete's entire collegiate career.

The Reddies had 10 different athletic programs with at least one honoree. Baseball led the way on the men's side with 19 total Academic All-GAC selections, while volleyball topped the women's sports with seven recipients. Baseball's 19 honorees were the most of any baseball program in the conference.

As a whole, the GAC had a record 1270 student-athletes from the 12 member schools earn Academic All-GAC accolades — 293 more than the previous league-high for a single year.
