2022 ALL-GAC TEAM
RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Freshman
Madison Treutlein and
Justine Burch were named to the 2022 All-GAC teams, the league announced Wednesday evening. Treutlein earned Second Team honors while Burch was named Honorable Mention.
Treutlein led HSU in batting average on the season, hitting .345 while registering 40 hits, which was second on the team behind only fellow All-GAC member Burch. In her first year at Henderson, the Frisco, Texas, native appeared in 44 games and started 39 contests.
Burch appeared in every game but one the Reddies played this season while starting all but two. As previously mentioned, the Greenbrier, Arkansas, native led head coach
David Martinez's squad with 44 hits while hitting .304.
Treutlein and Burch were the only two Reddies to hit over .300 on the year. Both players were in the Top-35 in batting average.
