ADA, Okla. - After eight innings and two lightning delays, the Reddies secured a sweep of ECU with 3-2 game three victory in Ada on Saturday.

The scoring got rolling in the third, as the Reddies plated two runs on a Macy Hoskins two-run double. ECU answered in the bottom of the inning with a run of its own.

Meagan Allen put the nails in the coffin, as she went five and two third innings, allowing two hits, two unearned runs and striking out two. 

The first rain delay came as the game was heading into the bottom of the fourth with Henderson leading 2-1. It wasn't until the bottom of the sixth that the score would change.

ECU scratched across a run in the bottom of the inning to even the score. Ultimately that score held into the eighth until Hoskins stepped to the plate and delivered again for HSU. A single from the Bryant, Arkansas native brought home Mackenzie Williams, who scored two of the Reddies three runs on the afternoon, and gave Henderson a 3-2 advantage.

With two outs in the top of the eighth, the game went into its second lightning delay, but it did little to stall the Reddies' momentum. Makenna Keeton slammed the door for HSU after the pause in action by pitching the final 2.1 innings and allowing no runs on just two hits.

With the series win, the Reddies finish the regular season with an overall record of 30-23 and a conference record of 14-19. Henderson now awaits the results of remaining games around the league to determine its GAC Tournament fate.
