RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - For the third time this season, Allie Bianchi of Henderson State women's golf was named the Great American Conference Golfer of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.

Henderson State has played three tournaments this fall. Each time, Bianchi has been tabbed Golfer of the Week for the league with a tied-for-24th finish at the DBU Women's Classic, runner-up at the Central Region Preview and, most recently, winning the Battle for the Belt.

At Hot Springs Country Club this past week, Bianchi finished two of three rounds under par, including a field-best 3-under 69 in the final round to help her capture her first tournament win of the season.

The three-time Conference Golfer of the Week has finished under par in two of the three tournaments HSU has competed in and is carrying a team-best 72.25 stroke average. Of her eight rounds, four of them have been at or under par.

Bianchi and No. 6 Henderson State will remain in Arkadelphia for a week before taking their longest road trip of the season when it heads north to Farmington, Pennsylvania, for the Nemacolin Intercollegiate Oct. 23-24.
