ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Henderson State welcomed 32 new players into the program on Wednesday as a part of its 2023 National Signing Day class.

The Reddies brought in seven players from inside the state of Arkansas, but also mined the fertile recruiting grounds of Texas and signed 20 players from the Lone Star State. Henderson had two signees each from Oklahoma and Louisiana, as well as one from Georgia.

Numbers-wise, 15 newcomers were added on the offensive side of the ball with 13 slated to play defense. HSU brought in two signees labeled as athletes and two who will feature primarily on special teams. The secondary (10) and the offensive line (7) were the position groups responsible for the most additions in the class.

"We're excited about this 2023 class of Reddie Football," head coach Scott Maxfield said. "Our staff did a tremendous job in putting together a group of young men who love the game and fit the winning culture we have built in this program. We challenge our players to get better each and every day, but in order to do that, you have to be willing to work hard and sacrifice. I believe we have found the next group of players ready to accept that responsibility. We can't wait to get these 32 signees on campus and get them involved in the program."
