COVERAGE LINKS

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - After playing five straight contests on the road, Henderson State will play its next four at Clyde Berry Field, beginning with a three-game series against Southeastern Oklahoma State. First pitch between the Reddies and the Savage Storm will be Friday, Mar. 15 at 6 p.m.

REDDIES REPORT (12-12, 7-5 GAC)
In its last GAC weekend series, Henderson State claimed its first series win over No. 7 Southern Arkansas in Magnolia in the GAC era. The Reddies' two wins marked SAU's first conference series loss of the season while game one signified the Muleriders' first GAC loss of the season, holding a 9-0 record prior to the opener.

The series win over No. 7 Southern Arkansas has Henderson tied for fourth with four other teams in the conference standings at 7-5. The next two GAC weekend opponents are a combined 3-22 in league play as HSU is one game out of third and two games out of second.

Henderson State has dropped its last two games against Southeastern Oklahoma State, but has won eight straight over the Savage Storm in Arkadelphia. The Reddies have not lost conference series to SE since 2016. The red-and-gray are just 5-7 at home this season, which is already their most single-season home losses since 2019.

Kaden Argenbright has a chance to stand atop the record books in several categories after this weekend. Argenbright needs eight hits, four runs and one double to surpass former teammate Greyson Stevens' hits (266), runs (173), and doubles (60) record. Last season against Southeastern Oklahoma State, the Sulphur Springs, Texas, native recorded six hits with two doubles and two runs scored across the three-game series.

SCOUTING SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA ST. (8-14, 1-11 GAC)
Southeastern Oklahoma State is off to its worst 12-game conference start in GAC history at 1-11. The Savage Storm's first league win came just three days ago the series finale against Oklahoma Baptist, 15-13. Of its 11 losses, however, seven have come by two runs or fewer.

Southeastern is 10th in the GAC in team pitching with a combined 7.89 ERA. Starting pitchers Jackson Sioson and Cameron Hauch have spent the most time on the mound and have team-low ERAs of 5.68 and 5.79, respectively. At the plate, the Savage Storm are sixth in the conference with a team-batting average of .280, led by senior infielder Damon Burroughs, who is hitting a team-best .365.
