RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Henderson State running back Jeremiah Davis was named the GAC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. This is the second week in a row that a Reddie has taken home the award for the league's top offensive player.
On Saturday, Davis ran for a career-high 158 rushing yards and three touchdowns in a 27-12 win over Arkansas Tech. The redshirt junior from Montalba, Texas, became the first HSU running back to rush for at least 150 yards in a game since 2018.
Through three games, Davis leads the Great American Conference with 294 yards on the ground. He is also tied for the most rushing touchdowns in the league with five.
This week, Henderson will travel to Searcy to face No. 1 Harding in a big Top-25Â clash. The showdown between the unbeaten Reddies and Bisons is set for 7Â p.m. on Saturday, September 28, at First Security Stadium.
