CLEVELAND, Miss. — The Red Wave wrapped up the 2025 NSISC Championship meet on Saturday with the men finishing in third place overall and the women finishing fourth.
Kiara Pozvai and Emma Crowe claimed the final two individual titles for Henderson State, as Pozvai topped the podium in the 100-yard freestyle (49.75) and Crowe touched the wall first in the 200-yard backstroke final (2:02.25).
The Red Wave men scored well in the 200-yard breaststroke on Saturday, as Jean Ducastel (1:47.08) and Nojus Skirutis (1:47.36) finished second and third overall, and Zachary Ponder (1:50.20) and Efe Ertuzun (1:52.77) took sixth and eighth, respectively. Henderson also claimed three of the top seven spots in the 200-yard breaststroke behind the efforts of Mark Eberhard (2:01.33), Colin Candebat (2:02.39), and Oskar Cebula (2:02.89).
Both teams took third place in the final event of the week, the 400-free relay, with the men out-pacing their seed time by over four seconds (2:57.53).
Qualified Red Wave swimmers will now turn their attention to the 2025 NCAA Division II National Championships on March 11-15 in Indianapolis.
