ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Henderson State's Payton Byrd and Jeremy Schork continued to rake in the postseason awards on Friday when both were named to the 2025 NCBWA All-Central Region Teams.

Byrd, a senior reliever from Warren, Arkansas, was named to the First Team, while Schork, a senior catcher from Fenton, Missouri, earned a spot on the Second Team.

In 25 relief appearances this season, Byrd compiled 13 saves, which ranks second nationally among all NCAA Division II players. He has a 2.14 ERA in 42 innings pitched with a team-best 58 strikeouts and just 10 walks. As a First Team selection, he will advance to the national ballot with an opportunity to be a 2025 NCBWA All-American.

One season with the Reddies was more than enough for Schork to make his mark on the program, as the former Division I transfer launched 16 home runs and tallied 59 RBIs this year for HSU. Schork is batting .327, has a team-high 70 hits, including 13 doubles, and has scored 49 runs this spring.

The Reddies (32-23) look to keep their season alive when they take on No. 2 seed Minnesota State in an elimination game at the NCAA Central Regional in Mankato, Minnesota on Saturday.
