Henderson State opened the 2026 NSISC Championships with strong relay performances Tuesday night in Pensacola, positioning both teams in the early title race.
On the women's side, Ryann Grasser, Iris McNamara, Tayden Drake, and Daniela Ruiz placed fourth in the 4x200 freestyle relay with a 7:52.03 finish. The Reddies sit fourth overall with 40 points, just four points behind third-place Ouachita Baptist.
The Henderson men delivered one of the tightest races of the night. Nojus Skirutis, Alan González Mujica, Colton Bennett, and Colin Candebat finished second in the 4x200 freestyle relay in 6:35.82, just .28 seconds off first. Through two events, the men sit second in the standings with 52 points, only two behind Ouachita Baptist.

Prelims begin at 10 a.m. with the 200 IM, 50 freestyle, and 1000 freestyle, followed by men's one-meter diving prelims at 12:30 p.m. Finals start at 5 p.m., including the 200 medley relay to close the night.
