Ethan Roark was named the GAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday. This is Roark's first honor of the season.
The senior from Flint, Texas twirled a complete game in Friday night's Reddie win over Oklahoma Baptist. Roark threw all seven innings, allowing just two runs on three hits while striking out a career-high 11 and walking none. So far this season, Roark has paced the HSU staff; his 54 strikeouts lead the Great American Conference and is tied for eighth in all of Division 2. His 3.00 ERA ranks third in the conference.
In 43 innings pitched this season, batters are hitting just .206 off of Roark and have only drawn eight total walks in six starts.
