Henderson State makes its third trip to Oklahoma this season as the Reddies travel to Weatherford to face Southwestern Oklahoma, Saturday with kickoff set for 5 p.m.

Henderson State is making its fourth road trip in six weeks and is coming off a 63-14 win over Northwestern Oklahoma last week. The Reddies play five of its first seven games on the road this year. Including this week's trip to Weatherford, the Reddies will have racked up over 3,250 miles in the first six weeks of the season.

By the end of the season, the Reddies will have logged in more miles than any team in the GAC with 3,685 total miles traveled. Northwestern Oklahoma follows with 3,560 miles. OBU will have the least miles traveled with 1,870.

The No. 7 ranked Reddies are averaging 550.5 yards and 53.2 points per contest this season.

Southwestern Oklahoma and Henderson State meet for the seventh time in a series which dates back to 1933. Henderson leads the all-time series 4-2 after last year's 45-17 win in Arkadelphia.

The Bulldogs are the only team to give the Reddies a loss in conference play since the beginning of the Great American Conference in 2011.

Kevin Rodgers has completed 70 percent of his passes (133-of-189) for an average of 310.6 yards per game. The Reddie signal caller threw for four touchdowns last week in the first half against the Rangers.      Â
The Reddie ground game ranks fifth in the GAC averaging 183.0 yards per contest.

Rodney leads the team averaging 66.8 yards per game including three touchdowns.
Jaquan Cole follows with an average of 54.8 yards per contest including five touchdowns, while
Ryan McDonald averages 40.0 yards and has scored three touchdowns.

Darius Davis, the all-time receiving leader in Arkansas collegiate football history, leads the GAC averaging 106.8 yards per game with nine touchdowns.

Joseph Snapp had three first-half touchdown catches last week and has a team-best 33 receptions for 408 yards and five touchdowns.
The Reddie defense continues to play well. Last week, Northwestern Oklahoma total 23 yards on 24 plays in the opening half against the first team Reddie defensive unit.

Opponents have averaged 286.4 yards of offense and are averaging just 15.0 points per game against the Reddie defense.

Lawson Schulz leads the team with 26 tackles including 3.0 tackles for lost yardage.
Josh Davis has totaled 25 tackles including 4.0 tackles for lost yardage.

Southwestern Oklahoma enters Saturday's game with a 2-3 record after a 54-21 loss to Ouachita Baptist last week. The Bulldogs are 2-0 at home with wins over Arkansas Tech and Southern Arkansas.

SWOSU averages 317.2 yards of offense per game which ranks eighth in the GAC, but the Bulldog defense is fourth allowing 363.2 yards per contest including just 177.8 passing yards per game.

The Bulldog offense totaled 406 yards last week against the Tigers including a season-best 258 passing yards.        Â

Klark Ashmore started at quarterback last week for SWOSU becoming the third different signal caller this season for SWOSU. Ashmore completed 23-of-38 passes for 258 yards and two touchdowns.

Karl Hodge is the primary running back for Southwestern averaging 84.4 yards per game which ranks fourth in the GAC. Hodge rushed for 69 yards and one touchdown on 19 carries against Ouachita Baptist.

Brad Smithey is SWOSU's top receiver with 24 catches for 202 yards, while Teverick Boyd has 20 receptions for 167 yards.  Â

The SWOSU defense held Ouachita Baptist to just 267 yards of total offense last week. Kapena Olsen ranks sixth in the GAC in total tackles with 42 after having a season-best 12 tackles (10 solo, 2 assist) against the Tigers.

Defensive lineman Devin Benton leads the NCAA and GAC in tackles for lost yardage with 14. Benton also has 3.5 sacks to his credit.
Henderson State will hope to get out to a quick start against Southwestern Oklahoma on Saturday. The Reddies have outscored their opponents 85 to 7 in the first quarter, and 166 to 27 in the first half.
