It will be a battle of the two top offensive and defensive teams in the Great American Conference as Henderson State plays host to Harding, Saturday at Carpenter-Haygood Stadium with kickoff set for 3 p.m.

The Reddies are ranked No. 4 in the latest American Football Coaches Association Top 25 poll following their 24-3 win over Arkansas Tech. Harding, which suffered its first loss of the season last week, fell to No. 23 in the poll with the Bisons entering the game with a 5-1 record.
Henderson State's offense has somewhat struggled the last two games being limited to an average of 376 yards and 26 points per game the last two weeks.

Overall, the Reddies are still averaging 500.7 yards and 45.4 points per game.
Kevin Rodgers has completed 68 percent of his passes (180-of-264) for an average of 307.9 yards per game. The Reddie quarterback completed 19-of-26 passes for 368 yards and four touchdowns last year against Harding.
Rodney Bryson leads the Reddie ground game averaging 67.9 yards per game. Â
Jaquan Cole follows averaging 40.6 yards per contest having scored five touchdowns, while
Ryan McDonald averages 32.9 yards per game, scoring three touchdowns.       Â
Darius Davis leads the Reddie receivers averaging 116.1 yards per game. Davis ranks second nationally in touchdown receptions with 13. A year ago against Harding, Davis had five catches for 142 yards including a 70-yard touchdown reception. Â
Joseph Snapp has totaled 35 catches for 413 yards. Snapp is averaging 59.0 yards per game and has recorded five touchdown receptions.         Â
Opponents have averaged 271.2 yards of offense and just 13.1 points per game against the Reddie defense.
Josh Davis leads the team with 43 tackles including 5.0 tackles for lost yardage.
Lawson Schulz has totaled 40 tackles with 4.5 stops for lost yardage.

The Bisons lead the GAC in scoring (47.3 points per game) and are second in total offense at 489.0 yards per contest.

Harding has one of the best rushing attacks in the nation averaging 405.2 yards per game.    Â
Keenan Kellett is the Bison quarterback and has completed 25-of-45 passes for an average of 83.8 yards per game. Kellett completed 9-of-20 passes for 117 yards in 2013 against HSU.   Â
Harding's rushing attack is led by senior Romo Westbrook who is third in career rushing yards at Harding with 2,627. Westbrook is averaging 114.7 yards per game this year after having 190 yards on 16 carries last week against OBU. Last year against the Reddies Westbrook carried the ball 30 times for 161 yards.           Â
Donatella Luckett is fifth in the GAC with 63.0 receiving yards per game. He leads the conference with a 23.6-yards-per-catch average.     Â
Harding also has a stellar defense ranking in the NCAA Division II top 10 in total defense (250.2) and rushing defense (81.7).        Â
Devonte Britt leads the Bison defense with 30 tackles with Jordan Cantrell following having 24 stops.

Harding and Henderson State meet for the 50th time in a series which dates back to 1926. The Reddies lead the series 31-17-1 including having won four straight against the Bisons.

Saturday's game will homecoming at Henderson State. The Reddies are 8-1 under Coach
Scott Maxfield in homecoming games. The lone Homecoming loss during Maxfield's tenure was a 44-14 loss to Arkansas Tech in 2009. Last year the Reddies defeated Southwestern Oklahoma 45-17. Since 1971, Henderson State has a 26-15-2 record in Homecoming games.
