Henderson State's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) in conjunction with the Make-A-Wish Foundation will host "Wish Week for Reddie Athletics" November 10 through the 15.
Numerous events are planned for the week, highlighted by "Turn Up For Tip-Off" on Wednesday.
The week will begin with a Make-A-Wish Reception on Monday beginning at 6 p.m. at the HSU Garrison Center Lecture Hall.
On Tuesday (Nov. 11), a Make-A-Wish Fund-Raiser event will take place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Chicken Express in Arkadelphia.
Wednesday (Nov.12) will be "Turn Up For Tipoff at the Duke Wells Center beginning at 9 p.m.
The event, which is hosted in partnership with Student Affairs, includes the introduction of the 2014-15 Henderson State men's and women's basketball teams.
A Co-ed scrimmage will also be conducted along with a 3-point shooting contest and a dunk contest.
Students attending will have the opportunity to win a semester of free tuition, an Ipad, and Itunes Gift Vouchers.
Henderson State professors will get into the act on Thursday (Nov. 13) as it will be Pie A Professor Day on the HSU Quad beginning at noon.
The week concludes with the 88th Battle of the Ravine at Carpenter-Haygood Stadium with kickoff set for 3 p.m.
SAAC will be selling rally towels with the proceeds benefitting the Make-A-Wish Foundation. SAAC will also conduct a raffle for HSU Athletics gear.
