Henderson State begins Great America Conference play on Thursday as the Reddies travel to Bethany, Okla. to take on Southern Nazarene with tipoff set for 7:30 p.m.
Henderson, 0-2 on the season, is coming off a pair of losses at the NSIC/GAC Challenge in Dallas, Texas last weekend.
The Reddies have been relying on its youth in the early part of the season due to injuries.
Five freshmen have seen action in the first two games with the rookies averaging nearly 18 minutes per game.
Junior
Kevin Kozan is leading the Reddies averaging 16.5 points per game, with senior
Tavian Pomlee scoring 12 points while grabbing 4.5 rebounds per game.
Freshmen
Zydrunas Jugurtis and Eric Daily are averaging 9.0 and 8.0 per outing.
Southern Nazarene, 0-2, lost games to Nebraska-Kearney (95-80) and Lindenwood (86-79) last weekend at the SWOSU/MIAA Exempt Classic in Weatherford, Okla.
The Crimson Storm return all five starters from last year's team that finished 13-14 and 9-11 in the GAC.
LB Willis leads the team averaging 15 points per game. An All-GAC selection a year ago, Willis is shooting 56.3 percent from the field.
CJ Rodriguez also averages 15.0 points including scoring 17 points against UNK. The senior guard averaged 11.4 points and 2.9 assists last season.
Francisco Hukill leads the team with eight 3-point field goals while averaging 13.0 points after two games.
