Henderson State will take on a high-scoring Southeastern Oklahoma team as the Reddies play host to the Savage Storm on Saturday with tipoff set for 3 p.m. at the Duke Wells Center.

It will be Henderson's annual Angle Tree Game with fans encouraged to bring a small toy or make a donation as they enter the game.

Henderson State is coming off a tough loss to East Central on Thursday (68-64) in a game that saw the Reddies rally on several occasions but falling short as East Central limited HSU to one field goal in the final four minutes.         Â

The Reddies, 0-6 on the season, are averaging 63.0 points per game while opponents are scoring 70.3 points per contest.

In the loss to East Central, Henderson converted on just 8-of-18 free throws which proved to be costly. The Reddies are shooting 61 percent from the foul line this year (64-of-105).

Kevin Kozan scored 20 points on Thursday against ECU and leads the team in scoring averaging 15.3 points per game. The junior from New Lenox, Ill. also leads the team in 3-point field goals with 15.

Tavian Pomlee totaled 12 points and 6 rebounds against ECU and follows Kozan averaging 10.0 points per game.
Zydrunas Jurgutis averages 9.2 points and is a 56 percent shooter from beyond the arc.

Southeastern Oklahoma has a 4-3 record overall and is 2-1 in league play following a 102-71 loss to Ouachita Baptist on Thursday.

The Savage Storm was outrebounded 45 to 22 by the Tigers with SOSU having just three offensive boards.
Southeastern averages 81.7 points per game which ranks second in the GAC. SOCU is solid from the field having a 46.3 shooting percentage. Although the Storm had rebounding troubles against OBU, they still are among the league's best pulling down an average of 42.6 boards per contest.

Defensively, opponents are averaging 80.0 points and 39.3 rebounds per game. Only once has SOSU held its opponents to less than 75 points.        Â
Sami Bzai leads the Storm averaging 19.4 points per game. The senior from Gilbert, Ariz. ranks fourth in the GAC in scoring. Bzai is SOSU's top 3-point shooter having converted on 22-of-46 attempts for 47.8 percent and is also an 83 percent shooter from the foul line sinking 38-of-46 from the charity stripe.

Anton Cook follows averaging 15.3 points per contest while also dishing out 3.9 assists per game. The junior from Birmingham, Ala. has hit 12-of-30 3-point field goals.

Also averaging double-figures is
Nathan Jackson who is averaging 10.9 points. Jackson leads the team in rebounding with 8.1 boards per game.

Henderson State leads the all-time series with the Savage Storm having a 10-6 advantage. The two teams spilt the series last year with each team winning its home court. The Reddies are 7-0 all-time against SOSU in games played at the Duke Wells Center. The series is even at 4-4 since the inception of the GAC.

The HSU women will start things off at 1 p.m. against SOSU, with the men to follow at 3 p.m.
