A pair of teams attempting to end four-game losing streaks will meet on Thursday as Henderson State plays host to Arkansas Tech with tipoff set for 7:30 p.m. at the Duke Wells Center.
Henderson State, 3-11 overall and 2-7 in the Great American Conference, began the new year with a 77-52 win over Southwestern Oklahoma to give the Bulldogs their first conference loss. Since then, the Reddies have lost four straight GAC contests including a 92-72 loss to Ouachita on Monday.

In the four losses, the Reddies have been outscored by an average of 11 points per game with opponents shooting nearly 50 percent from the field compared to 43 percent for Henderson.

Kaylon Tappin has averaged 16.3 points per game in the last four contests including a career-high 32 points against Arkansas-Monticello.

Kevin Kozan scored 19 points on Monday against OBU to lead the Reddies. The junior guard is averaging a team best 14.8 points per game while shooting 42 percent from beyond the 3-point line.

Tavian Pomlee is also averaging double figures for Henderson averaging 10.3 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.

After beginning the year 1-2, Arkansas Tech won eight straight games before its current four-game losing skid. The Wonder Boys fell to 9-6 on the year and 4-5 in league play following a 102-83 loss to Harding on Monday.

Arkansas Tech averages 77.5 points per game for the season and leads the GAC in rebounding margin at +6.5 boards per game. ATU averages 42.6 rebounds compared to the opponents' 36.1 boards. The Arkansas Tech defense has limited opponents to 41 percent shooting

The Wonder Boys are led by Marquis Yates who is scoring 17.3 points per game which ranks fifth in the GAC. Yates has scored in double-figures the last 10 games including 20 or more points in four of the last five games.

Tyler Corley follows averaging 11.2 points per contest. Corley shoots 42 percent from the field and leads the team in assists with 31.

Also averaging in double-figures is Andrew Guillory who is scoring 10.2 points while grabbing 4.9 rebounds.    Â
Henderson leads the all-time series with the Wonder Boys having an 81-76 advantage in a series which dates back to 1920. ATU has won 15 of the last 17 meetings. HSU ended a six-game losing skid to ATU with a 69-63 win last year.
