Henderson State will attempt to rebound from back-to-back losses as the Reddies travel to Russellville, Ark. to face Arkansas Tech, Thursday with tipoff set for 7:30 p.m.    Â
The game features a Henderson team that ranks second nationally in 3-point field goal defense, against an ATU squad which ranks seventh in 3-point field goals made averaging 11.3 per game.

The Reddies enter the game with an 11-4 record overall and a 6-3 mark in league play and are tied for third in the league standings.Â
Henderson will look to improve on its offensive numbers as the Reddies have averaged just 58.5 points per game in the last two contest while shooting just 37 percent from the field.

Kaylon Tappin was held scoreless for the first time in his career (34 games) on Monday against OBU. The junior from Little Rock still leads the Reddies in scoring averaging 16.9 points per game.          Â
Kevin Kozan hit a season-best five 3-pointers on Monday and scored 17 points running his season average to 10.9 points per game. Kozan ranks third in GAC history in 3-point field goals with 227.        Â
Chris Hawkins is also scoring in double-figures averaging 12.7 points and a team-best 6.8 rebounds per contest.

Arkansas Tech is 9-4 on the season and 5-4 in GAC play following Monday's 92-85 loss to Harding.       Â
ATU leads the GAC in scoring averaging 87.6 points per game with the Wonder Boys leading the GAC in 3-pointers made averaging 11.3 per game.    Â
Alex Brown leads ATU in scoring averaging 16.0 points per game, which ranks seventh in the GAC. The sophomore from Vernon, Fla. is a dangerous perimeter shooter having made 31-of-81 three-point field goals.       Â
Bennie Lufile dominates the inside game as the senior from Ontario leads the league in rebounding at 10.4 boards per contest along with 13.5 points.         Â
Montrell Williams will also be a key player to watch who is scoring 15.2 points against GAC foes.          Â
Another key 3-point shooter is Grant Prusator who leads the team with 33 trifectas.        Â

Henderson leads the all-time series with an 82-77 advantage. However, ATU has won the 16 of the last 19 meetings. Last year the two teams split the series with the home team winning both games. The Reddies have lost nine straight road games to ATU. Henderson's last win in Russellville was Feb. 2, 2007 when the Reddies won 66-42.
