FULL RESULTS
Henderson State spent three days in San Antonio, Texas with the Red Wave men's and women's swim teams claiming the 2017 Trinity University Tiger Invitational Meet.
The Red Wave women came from behind on the final day of competition to overcome host Trinity University. Henderson scored 737 points with Trinity scoring 673.5 points to place second. Loyola of New Orleans was third (428), followed by Southwestern University (374.5), University of Texas of the Permian Basin (316) and McMurry (182).
Linsey Butler won two individual events claiming the 200 freestyle (1:53.52) and the 100 butterfly (58.04). Butler also placed second in the 500 freestyle having a time of 5:08.95.

Lindsey Lucas placed second in three events including posting a time of 24.28 in the 50 freestyle, while having a time of 52.47 in the 100 freestyle. Lucas turned in a time of 1:55.32 in the 200 freestyle to finish with a total of 51 points in the three evens.

Eleonora Unanova was second in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:11.48 and finished third in the 500 freestyle with a mark of 5:11.61. In the 200 backstroke, Unanova was third with a time of 2:06.01.

Maddie Samples was Henderson's top finisher in the 100 backstroke by placing second by touching the wall in 58.04, with
Elam Fulton placing third in the 200 breaststroke (2:27.53).

Lauren Glenn swam to victory in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 19:36.48, while teammate
Samantha Harris was second posting a19:58.99 time.

In the 400 yard medley relay, the foursome of Samples,
Mikayla Wood, Butler and Lucas claimed the top spot having a time of 3:54.61 to score 40 team points.

Butler, Unanova, Samples, and Lucas came together to place second in the 400 freestyle relay in a time of 3:31.44.
Maddy Arnold won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events with scores of 227.05 and 230.50.

The Henderson State men easily won the meet with 916 points, followed by Trinity University 648.5, and Texas of the Permian Basin 577.5. Southwestern University was fourth with 326 points, Loyola of New Orleans fifth with a score of 268 and McMurry rounding out the field with 138 points.

Hunter Arnold led the Red Wave winning three individual events including the 50 freestyle (20.83), the 100 butterfly (50.75) and the 100 freestyle (45.18) to total 60 points for Henderson.

Dima Bokankhel scored 57 points winning the 500 freestyle (4:32.65), the 200 freestyle (1:38.86), and placing second in the 100 freestyle (46.12).
Tom Nguyen won the 100 breaststroke in a time of 57.08, and was third in the 50 freestyle clocking in at 21.08. Nguyen added another 16 points with a third-place finish in the 100 freestyle (46.75).
Bogdan Pochynok took first in the 100 backstroke (49.40) with
Alec Adams winning the 1650 freestyle having a time of 17:11.48.
Garrett Duncan was second in a pair of events having a time of 2:06.62 in the 200 breaststroke and 4:11.31 in the 400 individual medley.

Other top finishers included
Caleb Murders in the 50 freestyle as he was second with a time of 20.95, while Payton jones placed second in the 200 backstroke with a mark of 1:53.29.
The Red Wave won three relay events with the quartet of Nguyen, Arnold, Pochynok and Murders winning the 200 freestyle relay having a time of 1:22.14.

The 400 freestyle relay team of Arnold, Bokankhel, Nguyen, and Murders posted a time of 3:02.53, while the group of
Garrett Sullivan, Nguyen, Arnold and Murders swam the 400 medley relay in 3:26.33.
