Henderson State breaks from Great American Conference play and will host Dallas Christian on Wednesday with tip-off set for 7 p.m. at the Duke Wells Center.
The Reddies, 3-4 on the season, have lost their last two games including a tough 81-79 loss in overtime to Oklahoma Baptist last Saturday.
Kaylon Tappin scored 32 points in the loss to the Bison, while
Josh Jones scored 15 and
Brad Nairn 13.
Tappin ranks fourth in the GAC in scoring averaging 17.9 points per game including a league-best 20.3 points in conference games. The senior from Little Rock has combined for 52 points in the last two games and has scored 20 or more points in four games this year.
Jones ranks seventh in the GAC averaging 16.6 points per contest. The junior from Memphis, Tenn. has been in double-figures in every game this year and is shooting 49 percent from beyond the arc having made 16-of-33 3-point field goals.
As a team, HSU is averaging 73.9 points per contest while allowing 80.3 points per game.
Dallas Christian is a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association and enters the contest with a 5-4 record following an 84-71 win over Ozark Christian College last Saturday.
The Crusaders are led by senior forward Trey Lindsey who averages 16.1 points per game while junior guard Keldon Williams is averaging 12.4 point per contest.
