Reddies Return Home to Face Northwestern Oklahoma Thursday

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. -- Henderson State returns to the Duke Wells Center for its first home game since Dec. 15 on Thursday evening when the Reddies face Northwestern Oklahoma State at 7:30 p.m.

REDDIES REPORT
- Henderson (8-5, 3-4) gave the No. 14 team in the country, Southern Nazarene, all it wanted on Saturday, but ultimately fell to the Crimson Storm 84-72 in Bethany, Oklahoma. The Reddies have dropped four GAC games so far this season, but all four losses have come to teams that are currently 5-1 in the league and tied for first place in the GAC standings.

- HSU continues to be one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the GAC. The Reddies are second in the league with an average of 13.1 offensive boards per game and have grabbed 14 in each of their last three contests.

- Chris Parker, who is second on the team in scoring (12.3 points per game), is fourth in the conference in free throw percentage (84.8 percent) and is seventh in the GAC in 3-pointers made this year with 26. Parker is 9-for-20 from beyond the arc over HSU's last four games.

- Raekwon Rogers is fourth in the league in field goal percentage (57.1 percent) and second in offensive rebounds per game (3.0). Fellow front-court mate Mike Fofana is sixth in the GAC in rebounding with an average of 7.4 boards per contest.

- Rel Johnson leads the Reddies in scoring (13.5 points per game) and is shooting 46.2 percent from the 3-point line this season, which is 11th-best in the conference.

- The Reddies have played five of their first seven GAC games on the road, but plays nine of its final 13 conference games at the Duke Wells Center.

SCOUTING NWOSU
- Northwestern Oklahoma State comes into Thursday's game 3-9 on the year and 1-5 in the GAC. NWOSU is just one season removed from finishing 22-7 overall, which included a mark of 17-5 in the league, and grabbing the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament.

- The Rangers are led by the 2018 GAC Newcomer of the Year, senior center Treyvon Andres, who averages 13.5 points and six rebounds per game. Graduate transfer guard Joseph Moorer chips in 13.3 points per game for NWOSU, while junior guard AJ Jones pitches in 4.9 assists and a league-best 2.2 steals per game.

- NWOSU has struggled to score the ball at times this season. The Rangers are 11th out of 12 GAC teams in scoring offense against league competition (69.2 points per game) and are last in the conference in 3-pointers made with just 36. However, the Rangers are a strong rebounding team and rank fourth in the GAC in both rebounding offense (39 per game) and defense (34.8 allowed per game).
