Reddie Men Seek Seventh-Straight Win at Tech

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Fresh off of its sixth-straight victory, hot-shooting Henderson State will take the show on the road Saturday when it travels to Russellville, Arkansas for a rematch with Arkansas Tech at 3 p.m. in Tucker Coliseum.

REDDIES REPORT
- The Reddies (12-3, 7-2) remained in a tie for first place in the Great American Conference with a convincing 88-66 win over rival Ouachita Baptist on Thursday night at home. HSU shot 58.9% from the floor and used a big 23-6 run in the second half to snag its fifth-consecutive conference win, which is the longest league winning streak for the program since 2006-07.

- Henderson is shooting 48.2% from the field this season as a team, which ranks fourth in the GAC, but is shooting a sizzling 51.3% from the floor during its current five-game conference winning streak. HSU is 52-for-115 from the 3-point line (45.2%) in its last five games. The Reddies boast the highest scoring margin in the conference this season (+14.9) by averaging 84.4 points and allowing just 69.5 to their opponents.

- Defensively, the Reddies continue to shine. Henderson leads the GAC in both field goal percentage defense (38.5%) — a mark which ranks No. 4 in all of NCAA DII — and is also tops in the conference in 3-point field goal percentage defense (28.8%), which ranks sixth in the country. HSU is second in the league in turnovers forced per game (18.4) and turnover margin (+3.53).

- HSU's remarkable depth has been a handful for opponents all season long and continues to buoy the Reddies on both ends of the court. In its 15 contests this year, Henderson has had four or more players in double figures in 12 of them. Five players have scored in double figures for HSU in each of its last three games.

- The Reddies and Wonder Boys met back on Nov. 23 in the second GAC contest of the year for both teams. HSU won that contest going away at home 97-61. The Wonder Boys shot just 31.9% from the floor and were 3-for-22 from 3-point range. Chris Parker had a terrific game for Henderson and finished with a season-high 26 points in the win.

SCOUTING ARKANSAS TECH
- Arkansas Tech enters Saturday's contest 9-6 overall and 5-4 in GAC action. The Wonder Boys have marquee league victories this season over both East Central and Southeastern Oklahoma State, who are a combined 13-5 in conference play.

- ATU's main weapon is guard RJ Glasper, who leads the team in scoring (17.2 points per game) and assists (6.4 per game). Glasper, a junior from Forrest City, Arkansas, was held to just three points and eight turnovers in the first contest between the Reddies and Wonder Boys back on Nov. 23 in Arkadelphia.

- The Wonder Boys have been a different team when they play at home in Tucker Coliseum this season. ATU is 9-1 in its 10 home contests this year but 0-5 in true road games. Tech has won nine-straight games in Russellville after dropping its opener to Fort Hays State back in November.
