ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Henderson State begins its second round of Great American Conference play on Thursday when the Reddies host Arkansas Tech at 7 p.m. in the Duke Wells Center.

REDDIES REPORT
- The Reddies had a tough afternoon on Saturday against Arkansas-Monticello as the Weevils shot 56% from the floor and defeated Henderson 87-74 at the Duke Wells Center. HSU shot just 41.4% from the field and 34.6% in the first half.

- Raekwon Rogers has rounded into form in his last two contests for Henderson. The Little Rock native and 2020 Second Team All-GAC selection averaged 19 points and 9.5 rebounds during the Reddies' two contests last week and also shot 56.5% from the floor. Rogers poured in a season-high 22 points against UAM and is now averaging 12.8 points and 9.3 boards per game this year.

- Newcomer Malik Riddle has been a spark for HSU early in his time in Arkadelphia. The transfer from Morehead State is currently the Reddies' leading scorer (13.3 points per game) and has scored in double figures in each of Henderson's first four games. Riddle had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds against the Weevils.

- Henderson has proven to be a strong rebounding team thus far. The Reddies are second in the GAC in rebounds per game (40.8) and third in rebounding margin (+5.8). HSU has struggled to shoot and defend the three, however. HSU is 11th in the league in 3-pointers per game (7.0) and 3-point field goal percentage defense (38.9%).

- Arkansas Tech and HSU will be meeting for the 169th time on Thursday night and the second time already this season. Henderson leads the all-time series 88-80 and won the first contest this year in convincing fashion, 70-44, in Russellville almost two weeks ago. The Reddies limited Tech to just 24.2% shooting from the floor in that game and out-scored the Wonder Boys 25-4 in points off turnovers.

SCOUTING ARKANSAS TECH
- After losing at home to Henderson State on Jan. 9 to fall to 0-2 in the GAC, Arkansas Tech got a huge bounce-back victory against Southern Arkansas, where the Wonder Boys handed the Muleriders their first loss, 66-59. Tech now sits at 3-2 overall and 1-2 in conference play.

- Tech is currently 10th in the GAC in scoring offense (68.2 points per game) but fourth in scoring defense (67.8 points allowed per game). The Wonder Boys are second in the conference in field goal percentage defense (39.9%) and 3-point field goal percentage defense (27.8%). ATU is last, however, in turnover margin (-3.8) and is averaging more turnovers per game (18.8) than any team in the league.

- ATU has three players scoring in double figures through five games: Tony Hall, Cejay Mann and Ke'Lyn Adams. Hall and Mann have been particularly deadly from beyond the arc and have combined to make 24 3-pointers on 40% shooting from deep.
