DAY ONE RESULTS
RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - True freshman
Jenna Kate Bohnert, playing in her second collegiate event after the ITA Regionals in September, played herself into the Flight 4 Finals at the GAC Individual Championships in Russellville Friday afternoon.
Bohnert opened with a first-round bye before meeting Arkansas Tech's Maria Krite, who won her first match in straight sets. Bohnert served up a similar dish to Krite, claiming a spot in the finals with a second-round, 6-1, 6-2 victory.
Mulan Kamoe, after following in her opening match in three sets, was moved to the Flight 1 consolation bracket, where she defeated Ouachita Baptist's Austynn Crocker in a shortened match, 4-1, 4-1. Kamoe will face last season's GAC Player of the Year Lea Grinberg out of Arkansas Tech Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

Lily Winter, who will each play their respective consolation semifinal matches tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. True freshman
Kristina Kozlova will play for a Flight 2 consolation crown at 9:30 a.m.
Henderson's doubles teams Nos. 1-3 won their first matches, beginning with Kamoe and Kozlova defeating Ouachita Baptist's Crocker and Natalia Zamora, 6-1. Marianna Barona Murcia and Bohnert won their opening match as partners, following suit by downing a pair of Tigers, 6-1.
The duo of Kamoe/Kozlova did not stop there as they outlasted Southeastern's Skye Royall and Vanessa Nitue, 7-6. The first-year Reddie tandem will play for the Flight 1 GAC Doubles Championship tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m. where they will face Golden Suns Grinberg, who will be opposite Kamoe for the second time on the day, and Daniela Baez.
