RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Henderson State's
Emilia Nowak earned her second GAC Player of the Week nod of the 2026 spring season, the league announced Wednesday.
Nowak went 1-0 at the No. 2 singles and 2-0 at the No. 1 doubles with partner
Jordan Parker during a road trip to Texas this last week, as the Reddies went 1-1.
The sophomore from Poznan, Poland started off her week with a 2-0 day against East Texas Baptist. After besting the Tiger's top doubles team 6-2, Nowak swept ETBU's 6-1, 6-0 en-route to a 5-2 victory for Henderson State.
Nowak continued the strong road trip against the University of Texas-Dallas Comets, besting the top pairing 6-1, then won her first set 7-6 (7-2), and was up 1-0 in the second set against UTD's Presley Churchman before the match ended, leaving her singles match unfinished.
The Reddies (6-7) and Nowak will continue on the road in Searcy, Arkansas, where they'll face the Harding Bisons in the first match of GAC play this season. The match is scheduled to start at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 2nd.
