RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Henderson State's
Kristina Kozlova earned her first GAC Player of the Week nod of the 2026 spring season, the league announced Wednesday.
Kozlova went 2-0 in the Battle of the Ravine against Ouachita Baptist last week. Paired with
Angela Dorado Marin in the No. 3 position, Kozlova finished the regular season with an 11-2 doubles record, while going 7-8 in the No. 1 singles position.
The senior from Perm, Russia started the day off with a 6-2 win in the doubles match against Alice Kubler and Jaelyn Walker, before defeating No. 1 Anastasia Myachina. After falling behind 4-2 early, Kozlova climbed back to win the first set 6-4, then defeated Myachina in the second set 6-3.
The Reddies (10-8) and Kozlova head to Bentonville, Arkansas for the GAC championship tournament as the No. 2 seed. After their first round bye, Henderson State will face the winners of the match between No. 3 Harding and No. 6 Southern Arkansas. The match is scheduled for Saturday, May 2nd at 11:00 A.M.
